The Inventory Controller’s primary function is to ensure accurate inventory levels, research and respond to customer inquiries regarding shortages/overages, and maintain inventory integrity within the ERP system. This role plays a key part in supporting warehouse performance, customer service responsiveness, and system accuracy.

Job Duties:
  1. Review and validate daily cycle counts; research variances and determine root causes.
  2. Respond to customer inquiries related to shortages, overages, and inventory discrepancies.
  3. Issue credits for shortages and process billing charges for overages.
  4. Maintain and update inventory records in the ERP system, including adjustments, transfers, and receipts.
  5. Monitor bin locations, item labeling, and stock organization to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  6. Investigate warehouse transactions to verify product flow and correct any discrepancies.
  7. Review receiving transactions to ensure items are received, labeled, and entered correctly.
  8. Process and document customer returns (RMAs) so items are dispositioned and restocked accurately.
  9. Support preparation and execution of year-end physical inventory counts.
  10. Assist with system migration tasks including data validation, troubleshooting, and issue escalations.
  11. Collaborate with Customer Service and Finance on inventory-related resolutions.
  12. Provide support on inventory-related projects or process improvements as needed.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills when interfacing with internal teams and customers.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Must be able to work on-site Monday–Friday.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of inventory control or warehouse inventory experience.
  • Experience with cycle counting and variance research required.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and ERP inventory systems.
  • Experience working with customer-facing teams is a plus.

Physical Requirements – Essential
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in a warehouse environment daily.
