The Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing NSI’s internal and external communications strategy. This individual will lead internal communication initiatives, manage the company’s corporate social media presence, and support public relations activities. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, strategic storyteller, and trusted advisor to senior leadership—skilled at navigating both high-level strategy and day-to-day execution. This individual contributor role reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and is based at NSI Industries’ headquarters on Reese Boulevard in Huntersville, NC, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

Internal Communications:
  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies that inform, engage, and inspire employees across multiple locations and functions
  • Manage content for intranet, employee newsletter, organizational announcements, and executive messaging
  • Support major internal initiatives, including employee engagement programs, surveys, change communications, and culture-building campaigns
Social Media & External Communications:
  • Own and grow NSI’s presence on LinkedIn and other platforms
  • Partner with a variety of teams to align messaging and spotlight company culture, milestones, and leadership
  • Support media relations, press releases, and executive visibility opportunities as needed
Executive Communications:
  • Craft compelling content for senior leaders including talking points, presentations, video scripts, and emails
  • Help prepare executives for town halls, events, key announcements and other company milestones
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
  • 10+ years of professional experience in communications (corporate, internal, or agency)
  • Proven success managing internal communications and social media strategy
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a sharp eye for tone, clarity, and consistency
  • Experience of working closely with senior executives
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortably managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
