Position Summary:
The manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining manufacturing best practices, drawings, work instructions and related documents for the die cast department, secondary operations and automated inspection.
Responsibilities- Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs
- Solicit observations from operators and setup technicians
- Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout
- Train with production floor personnel to understand the use of auxiliary equipment to improve the layout function of the equipment to reach customers' expectations
- Test finished product and process capabilities, establish standards, and confirm manufacturing processes
- Provide manufacturing decision making information by calculating production and labor costs
- Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services
- Complete design and development projects by training and guiding maintenance and set up mechanics
- Train staff in new and existing processes and equipment
- Write operating work instructions and procedures
Requirements- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineer or similar role
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- CAD familiarity (Solidworks, Pro-E, Inventor etc)
- Excellent note taking, organizational, and analytical skills
Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000_______________ _ _ _ _ _ _
