Vice President of Operations – HVAC Division
We are seeking a Vice President of Operations for NSI Industries' HVAC Division to lead end-to-end operations across the Duro Dyne and Supco brands, managing multi-site manufacturing and distribution facilities in New York, Ohio, Colorado, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Quebec.
This role reports to the President of the HVAC division and will drive lean operations, supply chain efficiency, SOP execution, workforce development, and safety compliance, overseeing 250+ employees and supporting post-acquisition growth under Sentinel Capital Partners.
Responsibilities:
Operational Efficiency & Improvement
- Develop and execute strategic plans for multi-site production and distribution.
- Standardize SOPs and lead lean initiatives (Kaizen, PDCA) to boost productivity.
- Optimize material flow via vendor-managed inventory and cost modeling.
- Conduct annual cost analyses to drive year-over-year savings.
- Consolidate procurement and logistics across brands driving down costs and increasing productivity in the supply chain.
- Standardize ERP systems for real-time inventory visibility.
- Build strong supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost control.
- Implement activity-based costing and manage capital investments.
- Oversee daily operations: safety, quality, output, labor, and compliance.
- Lead integrations and carve-outs during M&A activities.
- Mitigate risks through proactive contingency planning.
- Improve labor efficiency and defect reduction.
- Develop leadership through structured programs and rotations.
- Enhance retention with targeted engagement strategies.
- Partner with Sales, NPD, and Production on order and schedule alignment.
- Report performance, provide insights, and suggest solutions to executive leadership and investors.
- Work effectively with the leadership team to ensure alignment of objectives and drive to common metrics.
- 10+ years in senior operations roles, overseeing multi-site operations with 250+ hourly employees.
- Proven lean manufacturing and quality systems experience.
- Private equity experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s in manufacturing, engineering, or related field (Master’s a plus).
- Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Willingness to travel 50%+.
- Strong financial and capital management skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, inventory, and production planning.
- Effective communicator with C-suite and board-level experience.
- Strong leadership and team engagement capabilities.
