Position Summary:
The manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining manufacturing best practices, drawings, work instructions and related documents for the die cast department, secondary operations and automated inspection.

Responsibilities

Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs
Solicit observations from operators and setup technicians
Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout
Train with production floor personnel to understand the use of auxiliary equipment to improve the layout function of the equipment to reach customers' expectations
Test finished product and process capabilities, establish standards, and confirm manufacturing processes
Provide manufacturing decision making information by calculating production and labor costs
Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services
Complete design and development projects by training and guiding maintenance and set up mechanics
Train staff in new and existing processes and equipment
Write operating work instructions and procedures

Requirements

3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineer or similar role
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
CAD familiarity (Solidworks, Pro-E, Inventor etc)
Excellent note taking, organizational, and analytical skills

Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000
