Regional Sales Manager – Florida Market (FL)

Lynn Electronics, the Building Technology division of NSI Industries, has been an industry leader and a premier workplace for over 55 years.  We are currently seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team. 

The primary responsibility of this position is to meet or exceed sales revenue by developing, maintaining, and growing end user and distribution revenue for an assigned region, while developing and executing a plan to grow divisional market share.  Management of the distribution channel includes program and relationship development aligned with the sales plan, coordination with the inside sales team and the development of new business opportunities and end users through new relationships or programs.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and support NSI Industries Building Technology relationship with our Datacom & A/V and Security distribution partners in the assigned geographical territory.
  • Leading the development of our share position in the region using sales techniques and lending previous successful experience.
  • Strategic account planning and execution of those plans with our agent network.
  • Scheduling in person and virtual meetings with potential customers and identifying opportunities to sell our complete product offerings.
  • Assembling a target list of distributors and contractors within the region.
  • Prospecting distribution and contractors within the territory to seek new ventures.
  • Analyzing competitor activities in the region and assessing opportunities for business development.
  • Achieving KPI’s that include both revenue and profitability targets set by the Regional Vice President
  • Networking with businesses in the territory and building relationships.
  • Attending relevant industry events and conferences to enhance NSI’s business interests.
  • Working closely with other regional sales managers and national account managers.
  • Develop into the regional “Champion” having knowledge of current industry news to identify opportunities for new business within the region.
  • Ability to prepare presentation content to be delivered in person or virtually
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5-7 years sales experience in the Datacom, A/V and Security or related industry.
  • Previous experience working in sales as a regional or territory sales manager.
  • Relevant industry background gained from a competitor or company in a related industry.
  • Excellent people skills and an ability to build relationships with people at all levels.
  • Appropriate product knowledge and ability to learn
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate and present professionally, clearly, and effectively in English, in speech and writing, with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across organizations and teams in a positive and productive manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner at an executive level within the marketplace and company.
  • Strong organizational, project management, problem solving and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to anticipate needs of customers and proactively solve problems.
  • Ability to work independently to accomplish tasks, while also having strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with others.
  • Resourcefulness to meet tight deadlines and flexibility with fluctuating priorities.
  • Must possess a positive demeanor and maintain positive interactions with all internal and external customers.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50% and conduct business virtually as needed.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions and physical demands of the position with or without accommodation.

Physical Demands: 
  • Consistently spending time sitting, typing, talking, walking, and using repetitive motion.
  • Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of automated office machinery, such as a computer.
  • Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
  • Visual capacity enabling frequent use of computer equipment.
  • Medium work: ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual will work in close proximity and may periodically walk in a manufacturing environment (exposure to dust, noise, and particles).
