Job Title: Receiving Supervisor

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provides immediate leadership to the receiving/replenishment team
  • as required
  • Conduct annual employee performance reviews to assess individual strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement within the receiving team 
  • Receives incoming product against appropriate purchase orders, completing paperwork as required 
  • Delivers packages to appropriate personnel with sensitivity to urgency stated on package.
  • Organizes incoming inventory deliveries for proper storage and placement.
  • Responsible for placing incoming items into inventory via our WMS system
  • Efficiently stocks shelves with newly packaged items from the packaging department
  • Consolidates primary and overstock locations to effectively utilize the cubic space of the distribution center
  • Communicates under-stocked items to Packaging Supervisor for appropriate replenishment
  • Evaluate and determines status of product returns from customers.
  • Operates any material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required
  • Assists in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, security and safety of the distribution center
  • May conduct physical inventories and cycle counts as required
  • Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) to oversee receiving operations, including receiving operations, inventory tracking, and stock replenishment 
  • Perform all other tasks as required when assigned

Required Capabilities:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Excellent math skills 
  • Better than average analytical skills
  • Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions 
  • Willing to work overtime when necessary
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs repeatedly 
  • Must be able to visually distinguish detail, color, and other characteristics of material and objects 
  • Finger/wrist dexterity to work effectively on computer keyboard of material and objects 
  • Must be able to work as part of a team 
  • Ability to work a variety of jobs 
Essential Functions:
  • Ability to communicate professionally at various organizational levels 
  • Must be able to hear/understand/speak with team members at all levels within a diverse workforce 
  • Must be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, stand for extended periods of time 
  • Must be comfortable working with or around material handling equipment
