Human Resources Operations Leader

The HR Operations Advisor position is integral and crucial to the success of the Human Resources function and the larger organization. It will oversee all aspects of HR Technology Systems (HRIS), Benefits Administration, Compensation Programs, and Onboarding Processes within the organization. This position will have comprehensive knowledge in these areas and be able to execute both strategic and tactical responsibilities. The emphasis will be on confident and effective leadership of HR systems implementation, business process efficiencies, and ongoing maintenance of HR management systems and employee portals.

This is not just a position but a hands-on role. The HR Operations Advisor will actively implement and optimize key HR technology and process areas, serving as a strategic partner to business leadership. This role is required to be onsite at our Bay Shore, NY location.

Tasks included but not limited to:
  • HR Technology Systems (HRIS)
  • Lead the configuration, optimization, and management of HR technology systems to support efficient workflows and ensure data integrity
  • Perform regular audits to maintain data accuracy and compliance within HR systems
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors for system enhancements and troubleshooting
  • Ensure maintenance of all HR data and database integrity through regular system audits
  • Identify and evaluate state-of-the-art technologies to optimize self-service capabilities
  • Monitor system performance metrics and implement improvements based on data analysis
Benefits Administration
  • Oversee all aspects of benefit plan administration, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans
  • Manage annual enrollment processes and maintain strong vendor partnerships
  • Track and report on benefits utilization and effectiveness
  • Provide strategic recommendations for benefits program enhancement based on market analysis
  • Ensure compliance with benefits-related regulations and requirements
  • Develop and implement communication strategies for benefits programs
Compensation Strategy & Programs
  • Assist with the design and implementation of compensation strategies and systems that promote pay equity and align with performance, business goals and strategy, and market standards
  • Conduct salary surveys and benchmarking activities to maintain competitive compensation practices
  • Provide recommendations for compensation adjustments based on market data
  • Develop and maintain job evaluation systems and salary structures
  • Ensure compliance with compensation-related regulations and requirements
  • Partner with leadership to align compensation strategies with business objectives
Onboarding Processes
  • Oversee and continually improve onboarding processes across all locations and functions
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create and maintain comprehensive onboarding schedules
  • Develop and update onboarding materials and resources
  • Implement improvements based on feedback and metrics
  • Ensure consistency in onboarding experience across locations
  • Monitor onboarding effectiveness through regular audits and feedback collection
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support employee relations by guiding conflict resolution and policy adherence
  • Assist in driving performance management processes and coaching managers
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Coordinate HR-led training sessions on key topics
  • Manage HR projects from planning through execution
  • Develop KPIs and monitor service-level agreements with key stakeholders
  • Continuously review and evaluate internal operating processes for effectiveness
Qualifications:

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Professional certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) required
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in human resources, with demonstrated expertise in HRIS, benefits administration, compensation, and onboarding processes
  • Experience in a manufacturing or multi-location setting is preferred
Technical Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in HRIS platforms (such as ADP Workforce Now or comparable systems)
  • Strong data analysis capabilities and experience with HR metrics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with project management software
