Job description – Recruiting Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
The Recruiting Manager is responsible for development, implementation and coordination of strategies designed to recruit, hire, and retain high quality employees at all levels of NSI Industries. Analyze and work with the Electrical and HVAC Divisions to forecast future workforce and employment-related needs for the organization. Primarily responsible for implementing the NSI Industries recruitment strategy by utilizing partnerships with all hiring managers and vendors. Must develop new partnerships and actively seek new innovative recruiting practices. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices for sourcing, diversity recruiting and general recruitment processes. Responsible for both domestic and international (Canada) recruitment plans. Create HR Metrics as it relates to recruiting to monitor the effectiveness of these efforts. Develop and deliver interview and selection best practices to various levels of hiring managers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage, train and coach Recruiters and Managers and screen for NSI Industries Culture

Build and ensure implementation of recruitment strategies that includes timely hires, diversity hires and internship programs.

Maintain and develop monthly, quarterly, and yearly recruiting metrics and reports.

Manages background check program and makes decisions with Division Human Resources on flagged background checks as needed.

Maintain current workforce plans and communicate with hiring managers and recruitment staff as needed.

Oversight of recruiting duties include:
  • Monitor staffing levels in business units and proactively provide recruiting support
  • Oversee all aspects of talent acquisition and direct hire process, including but not limited to: identifying new sources of talent, developing recruiting campaigns, establishing referral sources, and organizing internal transfers 
  • Screen, interview and process applications and lead onboarding process, up to the handoff to the HRSC.
  • Complete job offers
  • Institute successful internship programs, establishing lasting relationships with local colleges and universities

Planning & Reporting
  • Develop metrics, track recruiting initiatives and prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual reports for long term planning purposes and for ROI
  • Work with the Marketing Department to create job advertisements header that are engaging, exciting and encourage applicants to apply.
  • Develop a recruiting strategy that attracts a diverse and qualified applicant pool by identifying new opportunities and channels that maximize our ROI
  • Partner with hiring managers to review, analyze, and clarify job descriptions and gain understanding of their business operation
  • Improve and enable the hiring manager experience by educating, training and guiding them through interviewing, hiring and onboarding best practices
  • Effectively leverage social media platforms as a recruiting tool, developing ways to track the impact of each platform.
  • Stay current on technical recruiting knowledge and industry trends and comply with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all employees, applicants, and HR business
  • Assist with other HR duties as needed

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of functional recruiting experience in a full life-cycle environment
  • 10+ years of team leadership experience.
  • Successful track record in recruiting process development and reporting
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Model excellence in recruiting for the broader team and the business
  • Ability to multi-task and persevere in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a sense of urgency
  • Comfort in communicating at all levels of the organization and utilizing your skills and expertise to inspire and influence the organization to action
  • Ability to source active and passive candidates using a wide variety of resources for positions
  • Team player mentality with a willingness to jump in and help where needed
  • The ability to operate effectively in an ambiguous environment and embrace changes as they arise
